The End Times:

Days Like the Time of Noah & Revelation’s Warnings

Throughout history, people have wondered about the End Times—what it will look like, how it will unfold, and how we should prepare. The Bible gives us prophetic insight into these last days, comparing them to the days of Noah and revealing what will happen through the book of Revelation. Are we living in those times now? Let’s explore what Scripture says and how we should respond.

Days Like the Time of Noah

Jesus Himself compared the End Times to the days of Noah in Matthew 24:37-39:

“As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.”

What Were the Days of Noah Like?

  1. Widespread Corruption & Wickedness – Genesis 6:5 says, “The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.”
  2. Violence Filled the Earth – Genesis 6:11 states, “Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence.”
  3. People Ignored God’s Warnings – Noah spent years building the ark, warning others of coming judgment, but they mocked and ignored him until it was too late.

Are We Living in the Days of Noah?

When we look at today’s world, we see moral decay, increasing violence, lawlessness, and rejection of God’s truth. Many continue to live life as usual, unaware or indifferent to the warnings of Scripture. Just as people ignored Noah’s warnings before the flood, many today ignore the call to repentance before Christ’s return.

Revelation’s Prophecies: Signs of the End Times

The book of Revelation gives us a glimpse into the events that will unfold in the last days. Jesus also described specific signs to watch for in Matthew 24, which align with Revelation’s prophecies:

1. Increase in Wars, Famine, and Disasters

“Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” – Matthew 24:7-8

  • Wars and conflicts are escalating worldwide.
  • Natural disasters, earthquakes, and extreme weather are increasing.
  • Food shortages and economic instability continue to rise.

2. Rise of Lawlessness and Moral Corruption

“Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.” – Matthew 24:12

  • We see increasing lawlessness, crime, and moral decay.
  • People are turning away from Biblical values, embracing sin as normal.

3. Persecution of Christians

“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.” – Matthew 24:9

  • Christianity is under attack worldwide, with increasing persecution and opposition.

4. Deception & Rise of False Prophets

“For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” – Matthew 24:24

  • Many false teachers are twisting Scripture, leading people away from the truth.
  • Deception is spreading rapidly through culture, entertainment, and even churches.

5. The Mark of the Beast & One-World Government

“It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark.” – Revelation 13:16-17

  • The push toward a global system of control is increasing.
  • Digital currency, surveillance, and new technologies hint at the possibility of a future mark that could be required for buying and selling.

What Should We Do? How Do We Prepare?

1. Stay Awake & Watchful

Jesus warned us not to be caught off guard:

“So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” – Matthew 24:44

  • Be spiritually alert, not distracted by worldly things.
  • Pay attention to Bible prophecy and world events.

2. Repent & Stay Close to God

Just as Noah was righteous before God, we must seek holiness:

“But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.” – 1 Peter 1:15

  • If there is sin in your life, repent and turn to Jesus.
  • Stay in prayer, read the Bible, and walk in obedience.

3. Share the Gospel

Now is the time to warn others and lead them to Christ:

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” – Matthew 28:19

  • Just as Noah warned people of the coming flood, we must warn others of Jesus’ return.
  • Share the truth boldly and pray for those who don’t yet know Christ.

Final Thoughts: Are We in the Last Days?

While no one knows the exact day or hour, the signs of the times are undeniable. The world is becoming increasingly like the days of Noah, and Revelation’s prophecies are unfolding before our eyes. This is not a time to fear, but a time to be prepared and draw closer to God.
