A Testimony of:

Faith, Strength, and God’s Grace

A Testimony of:

Faith, Strength, and God’s Grace

"For we walk by faith, not by sight." – 2 Corinthians 5:7

One of my most profound testimonies begins with my first child, my daughter, Lia Felicity. Her story is not just about my suffering but about God’s presence, His will, and the faith He strengthened in me through one of the hardest trials of my life.

The Journey Begins

I was 21 years old at the time I found out I was pregnant. It was a mix of emotions—excitement, fear, and anticipation. As time passed, I fully embraced the joy of becoming a mother. But at just 9 weeks, my joy turned into uncertainty.

An ultrasound revealed hydrops, an abnormal fluid buildup in my baby. Further testing confirmed she had Turner syndrome (Monosomy X), a rare genetic condition affecting 1 in 2,500 female births. I was told it was a fluke—just a random, unfortunate occurrence.

Then came the crushing words from the specialist:
“I highly recommend termination. You can always try again.”

But how could I take the life of my child? I knew what God’s Word says—He alone is the giver and taker of life. It was never my decision to make.

A Battle of Faith

From that moment on, I chose faith over fear—but that does not mean the journey was easy. Every few weeks, I had to see the specialists, and every time, they told me the same thing:
“You’re putting your life at risk. If you don’t terminate, you could develop Mirror Syndrome, which could be fatal to you.”

Yet, I had no fear for myself. I knew God was with me and would take care of me. My greatest concern was for my daughter, who was getting worse. Her organs were struggling, and the doctors were certain she wouldn’t make it.

I prayed for healing but also felt deep in my heart that this was not God’s plan. I mourned her while she was still inside me, struggling between my hope for a miracle and the reality of God’s will.

One morning, I woke up with an unexplainable feeling—I knew it was time. Later that day, an ultrasound confirmed what my spirit already knew:
Her heartbeat was gone.

I was heartbroken, yet at peace. That same morning, I had prayed, “Lord, let Your will be done.” Looking back, I believe that was the moment I fully surrendered to God’s greater plan.

Laboring in Faith

At 20 weeks, after three days of labor, I gave birth to Lia Felicity—my precious daughter, but without life.

I thought I would collapse in sorrow, but instead, I experienced something only God could give—His peace.

I later learned that because she had reached 20 weeks, she was officially recognized as a human being, meaning I had the choice to bury or cremate her. It was rare for babies with her condition to make it that far, and yet she did. That alone was a testimony of her strength.

I was able to give her a proper ceremony, honoring her short but impactful life. And though my heart ached, I knew this was not the end.

A Lesson in God’s Strength

Through this experience, I truly began to walk by faith, not by sight. The world told me to give up, but God sustained me. I learned that sometimes faith isn’t about getting the outcome we want—it’s about trusting God even when we don’t understand.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9

Lia’s story is a promise—a promise that one day, I will see her again in heaven with our Father God. One day, all the pain and unanswered questions will make sense. Until then, I will continue to walk in faith, knowing that His grace never fails—it prevails.

This is just part of my testimony. One day, I will share more of the impact Lia has made, not just on me, but on others who have heard her story.

I wouldn’t change a thing—because through it all, God made me stronger.

Encouragement for Others

If you are walking through a season of uncertainty, loss, or suffering, let my story remind you: God is still good.

Even in our lowest moments, His grace never leaves us. Hold on to faith, trust in His perfect plan, and know that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Have you experienced God’s presence in a difficult time? I’d love to hear your testimony. Feel free to share in the comments or message us. Let’s encourage one another in faith!
